Thankfully Celeste has reminded me why I love this particular genre so much and for me it’s pretty much perfect in every single way. Obviously the most important thing about a Retro platformers is a genre that I’ve been interested in ever since I was a child and there have certainly been some classics over the year’s, but in my opinion this genre has lost its way in recent years.
